Taking photos for a fellow photographer is always so much fun! Chelsey photographs lots of weddings, just like me, so she has a huge appreciation for couple’s portraits, which is why we spent extra time setting up these gorgeous portraits! I had so much fun exploring the location with Chelsey and Tristan. The two of them are so sweet and in love, which makes me love them even more! It would be easy to think a wedding photographer could feel like a third wheel on a date, but my couples are always so sweet and feel like old friends, which just makes portrait time fun and enjoyable!
Despite the fact that it was warm outside, the nice, full trees at Lady of the Snows provided plenty of shade for us to cool down in the summer. But, the rolling hills definitely left us out of breath a few times! We spent a few minutes laughing at ourselves at how out of breath we were!
Most people wouldn’t expect to find such a gorgeous location without having to drive to St. Louis, but Lady of the Snows is beautiful! It is a great portrait location for couples who are getting married on the Illinois side of the river and don’t want to have to deal with driving into St. Louis traffic on their wedding day. Their are many rolling hills and big, mature trees that make for a beautiful backdrop for portraits.
Bonus points: this location is only about 10 minutes from my house, which makes for a happy Kayla!
