Wanna hear one of the cutest proposal stories ever?! 4th of July was always a huge holiday for Christine’s family, with the fireworks having an extra special meaning between her and her dad. Blake knew how important the holiday was for her, so on the 4th of July, right after they had played the National Anthem, he got down on one knee and proposed in front of her family! Talk about cute, right?!
How lucky am I that my 2020 calendar is filled with amazing couples like Blake and Christine?! My favorite thing about being a wedding photographer is being able to spend my days laughing and chatting with the most amazing couples, while capturing their beautiful memories for them that they can cherish forever!
I met up with Blake and Christine at the gorgeous Castlewood State Park for their engagement session just in time to catch some of the beautiful fall colors! This spot held an extra special meaning for Christine and Blake, because it is where they had their first date. If you have never been to Castlewood, you will be totally in awe of all the rolling hills and lush trees! It is hard to believe something so beautiful is right in the middle of Missouri! It’s the perfect spot for a day trip to do some hiking and see the river!
When we walked up to the river bank, the first thing I said to Blake and Christine was “that water is high!” The river had almost completely taken over the bank! Luckily, I found a dry spot for them and nearly fell in the mud myself.
I am so excited for this sweet couple’s wedding next year! I get so excited just thinking about all the amazing couples that I get to spend 2020 with. My heart is so happy! Check out a sneak peek of their gorgeous engagement session!
