I am so excited to be ending 2019 on such an amazing engagement session! This year was one of huge success, so much joy, and lots and lots of happy couples! Bobby and Lindsey were the perfect way to finish out my 2019, because they represent so much of what I loved about this year! Again and again, I feel so blessed to be able to spend my days capturing couples who are so in love with each other!
Bobby is absolutely one of the sweetest and most thoughtful grooms out there! When we were planning their engagement session, he knew he wanted to start off the session at the Gamlin Whiskey House, where he took Lindsey to dinner before he proposed!
These two have one of the cutest and funniest proposal stories ever. After their dinner at the Gamlin Whiskey House, Bobby asked Lindsey if she wanted to go walk through Forest Park… at night… in the middle of winter! Lindsey was skeptical, but Bobby had a pair of boots in the car for her to wear and kept insisting there was a lights show in the park (spoiler alert: there wasn’t!). Lindsey was sure Bobby wasn’t going to propose, because her sister was back in Maine and there was no way he was going to propose without her sister being there.
Bobby and Lindsey are walking through the dark, across a bridge in Forest Park. Two dark figures appear from the bushes and Lindsey instantly clings tighter to Bobby’s arm. Surprise! It’s her sister and his roommate, and then Bobby is down on one knee and proposing to Lindsey! She was so excited she almost forgot to say yes (because she was too busy squealing in excitement!)
I am so happy that these two braved the cold midwest weather for their engagement session so we could go back to the spot where Bobby proposed! Their session was filled with so much fun and magic! I am so in love with this sneak peek!
